Volunteer Descriptions:
Room Parents (1-2 per class): The room parents send communications about upcoming ECC happenings to the parents in the class. Use class funds to get gifts for your teachers for their birthdays, the Holiday season, and end of the year. Coordinate teacher appreciation week. Organize food/drink for select ECC events such as: Back to School Night, ECC holiday celebrations, Tot Shabbats, etc.
Sunshine Committee (1-2): Using the ECC credit card, mail a card and new baby book to new births within the ECC community. Send flowers or dinner to families or staff for major surgeries/illness/deaths etc. (paid for by ECC)
Challah Delivery Volunteer (1): Labels and distributes weekly Challah orders every Friday morning before school, throughout the school year.
*CLASSROOM CHALLAH SPONSOR* (8): Purchase the classroom challah for the school year, for the children to enjoy every Friday. 7.16 x 33 = $237
Parents/Moms/Dads/Family Night Out Fundraiser Committee (2-4): Coordinates monthly and quarterly gatherings for our families to get together to build community and act as a fundraiser for the school, by getting a percentage of sales from partnering business. Reach out to restaurants or shops in the community willing to donate a percentage of their sales to our school, if we invite ECC families to bring their families and friends to dine-in or take-out, to raise money for our school. Ex: Family restaurant dinners- Slice House/The Stand/Wood Ranch/etc, dads happy hour, moms brunch or moms night out… 1 Event or restaurant night per month
*REMOTE* Social media scout (2): Be active on social media and FB groups: Jewish Parents of Conejo Valley, Moms of Conejo valley, Jewish mommies, etc, by searching keywords “preschool”, “day care”, etc, and commenting/replying to threads to recommend TAE ECC. Posting public events, baby & me, etc, to FB groups.
Purim Carnival Table Volunteers (2):Manage the ECC table at the TAE Purim carnival. A great option for a grandparent or family member that would like to help out! (Stand there and welcome children to color a take-away during the carnival)
TAE Ambassador (2):Act as a parent ambassador to help welcome new families to the ECC and with with the Rabbi and programs staff on temple community events, as an official TAE ambassador.
*NO TIME? NO PROBLEM!* Be a sponsor!: Don’t have time to volunteer? Please consider contributing funds to go towards holiday gifts of appreciation to our facilities team, security guards, and staff, on behalf of the ECC PFA community.
General Volunteers (1-4): General helper as needed, help stuff goody bags, label and distribute take-homes for fundraisers, help with school apparel sales at ECC events, etc.
